About

I spent my early childhood in Virginia exploring the mysteries of our woods and reading every book of adventure I could find. I was sure I would grow up to be a pilot.

But even after obtaining a degree in Journalism, and working as an editor at a magazine company in New York (1999-2001), I still hadn’t found my writing calling. Then, in 2014, I began reading picture books to my twin children. I was hooked!  My writing found its home.

I belong to SCBWI, Inked Voices, and two online critique groups. I attend conferences, workshops, and once was lucky enough to attend a Highlights Foundation workshop!

I live in the Ohio countryside with my husband, twin seven-year-olds, and adorable hamster. When I’m not writing or playing with my kids, you’re certain to find me baking for our Celiac family, out gardening, or curled up with a good book.
